Mike, Eva, and I are thrilled to be in Washington DC celebrating
DC Week with an amazing group of social innovators. Mike is participating in a panel today entitled
"Incorporating Social Good into your Mission." He will be joining
Sloane Berrent,
Olivia Khalili, and
Nicolas Jammet to discuss the value of social entrepreneurship as a lasting business model. If you are in DC we'd love to connect! Will be tweeting from the conference
@MichaelRad &
@MaryShouvlin :D Special thanks to our friends at
iStrategyLabs for organizing such a great event and bringing all of these talented & creative minds together. Much love from DC!
In this lengthy but worth-the-watch video, the host of NPR Marketplace Kai Ryssdal talks with TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie and GOOD CEO Ben Goldhirsh about the passion and purpose behind their work. We found ourselves nodding in agreement throughout the length of the interview, as the honest words of these two amazing entrepreneurs truly resonate with the mission and values behind what we do everyday at Holstee. It is so encouraging to see other entrepreneurs valuing thoughtful production, sustainability, social responsibility, and community as they strive to grow and succeed. These guys hit the nail on the head in this interview and provide a solid insight into the world of Social Entreprenuership & 'Consious Capitalism.' We'd love to hear your thoughts.
Holstee is proud to announce that it has just been selected as a semi-finalist for the
Harvard Social Enterprise Conference: Pitch for Change competition!
We will be competing with 15 other semi-finalists in a one-minute pitch on March 1st. We are excited to share Holstee with the crowd and learn about all of the other socially driven companies and entrepreneurs inspiring change across the world. If you are going to be at the conference or in the Cambridge area please let me know by sending an email to dave[at]holstee.com, hopefully we will have time to catch up before or after the conference!
Best wishes to the other contestants!
